Over-Night Casualty List Taken At Proof That Americans Are Fighting.
Washington, April 11.---The overnight casualty list from General Pershing contained 124 names.
Only one soldier was killed in action. Two died of wounds, five died from accidents, 13 died from disease, 69 were severely wounded, 4 were missing in action, and 30 were slightly wounded.
The list attracted particular interest at the war department and was taken as proof that the Americans are in important fighting. While but one was killed in action, according to this list, 69 were severely wounded against 30 slightly wounded. This was the first time the proportion lay in this direction, it was noted.
