Lougee, George C.
George C. Lougee died May 13, 1915, aged 81 years. He was born in Littleton, N. H., son of Charles and Hannah (Sanborn) Lougee; for many years had a dry goods and shoe store at Turners Falls; retired from business in 1899 and had since made his home in Greenfield. He enlisted from Sheffield, Vt., August 15, 1862, in Co. E, 6th Vermont regiment; discharged December 26, 1863; member of Edwin E. Day Post [GAR].
