Moore, Patrick
Patrick Moore died October 15, 1906, aged 61 years. He was born in Ireland in 1846; came from there to Brattleboro, Vt., when a young man and learned the trade of harness making. He enlisted from Guilford, Vt., in Co. E, 11th Vt. Infantry, August 5, 1862; transferred to Battery E, 1st Vt. Heavy Artillery Volunteers; severely wounded at the battle of Cold Harbor, June 2, 1864; discharged from U. S. General Hospital, New York, August II, 1865. Came to Greenfield in 1876 and for the greater part of his thirty years residence here was in business for himself in a building on the site of the present Mohawk restaurant; member of Edwin E. Day Post [GAR].
