1st Vermont Cavalry Officers Taken Prisoner, Jul 1864

THE 1ST VT. CAVALRY.---The St. Albans Messedger[sic] learns, through Dr. H. F. Stevens, that the regiment came in from Wilson's Raid with a loss of 100 men, including 17 officers. The present condition of the regiment as to officers is as follows:

Co. B---Officers all prisoners.

Co. D---Captain wounded, 1st Lieut. prisoner.

Co. E---Captain and 1st Lieut. killed, and 2d Lieut. killed or prisoner.

Co. F--- Captain and 1st Lieut. prisoners.

Co. G---Capt. and 1st Lieut. wounded.

Co. H---Captain and 1st Lieut. prisoneers, and 2d Lieut. killed.

Co. I--- Captain prisoner.

Co.---K Captain wounded, 1st Lieut. killed, 2d Lieut. prisoner.

Co. L---Captain wounded, 2d Lieut. killed, 1st a prisoner.
