James McDonald Funeral.

Tyler, Tex., Feb. 27.---Funeral services over the remains of the late James McDonald, whose death occurred yesterday afternoon at the residence of his children, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. McDonald, 409 South Fannie avenue, were held last night at 9 o'clock. The remains were carried to Marlin on an early morning Cotton Belt train, where interment took place at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Deceased was 81 years of age and a pioneer Texan and enjoyed an intimate acquaintance with Sam Houston. He was a valient[sic] Confederate soldier, having served during the entire four years of the war. He had lived in Falls County before removing here eight years ago for nearly a half century.
