Philadelphia, Jan. 2.—More than a year ago Bartley P. Hamilton pleaded successfully before Federal Judge George A. Welsh that he was innocent of wilful{sic} draft evasion charges.
Today, the 35 year old soldier thanked the jurist for “what you did for me.”
On his uniform was the purple heart.
