Glazier, Newton - Rev.
Rev. Newton Glazier pastor of the Baptist church here from 1887 to March 31, 1896, died at Ashland, Neb., September 4, 1922. He was born in Stratton, Vt., December 12, 1838, son of John Newton and Phebe Gass (Bourn) Glazier. Enlisted August 11, 1862 in Co. G, 11th regiment Vermont Infantry; mustered in September I, 1862; commissioned First lieutenant Co. A, January 21, 1864; discharged September 3, 1864, on account of the loss of his left arm; member of Edwin E. Day Post [GAR]. Unmarried.
