Dix, Oscar Bliss

Oscar Bliss Dix died February15, 1914, born in Whitingham, Vt., the son of Wilbury and Sarah Bliss Dix and came to Greenfield about 1896. He enlisted from Worcester, January 2, 1864, as sergeant in the 4th Massachusetts Volunteer Cavalry; mustered out Nov. 14, 1865. For two years he was the commander of Edwin E. Day Post [GAR] and at the time of his death, its chap?lain.
