FROST, ELVIN A. - Private
Son of M. L. and Esther E. Frost; born February 6, 1895,
Harmony, Clay County, Ind. Lived in Clay County until
1916, when he moved with his parents to Clearmont, Wyo. to
settle on a homestead claim. Enlisted in Oregon National
Guard April 9, 1917, Portland, Ore. Went overseas, and was
transferred to Company A, 1st Brigade, Machine Gun Bat-
talion, 1st Division. Killed in action June 7, 1918 near Can-
tigny, France. Cited (posthumously) for gallantry in action
and meritorious services.
