GAULTNEY, PLEASANT D. .... Corporal
Son of Burgess Randell and Jennie Gaultney; born October
7, 1888, Johnson County, Tenn. Moved to Logansport, Ind.
in 1916. Employe of Vandalia Railroad. Entered service
September 19, 1917, Logansport, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor,
Ky.; assigned to 11th Company, 3rd Training Battalion, 159th
Depot Brigade. Transferred to Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind.;
then to Camp Upton, N. Y. While waiting to embark with
the 118th Engineers, he contracted pneumonia, and died October
10, 1918. Buried, Manchester, Tenn.
