McADAMS, FRED A. - Captain

Son of William Arthur and Eva McAdams; born August 15,
1879, Plainfield, Hendricks County, Ind. Employe of Tele-
phone Company, Indianapolis. Saw service in Spanish-Ameri-
can War, also with U.S. forces on the Mexican Border in 1916.
Re-entered service July 25, 1917, Chicago, Ill. Sent to Ft.
Sheridan, Ill. Sailed May 27, 1918. Assigned to Company C,
108th Field Signal Battalion, 33rd Division. Killed by acci-
dental explosion of German shell November 12, 1918, Troyon-
sur-Meuse, France. Buried in American National Cemetery,
St. Mihiel, France.
