SHEPHERD, ROBERT - Private

Son of Henry (deceased) and Ollie Shepherd; born March
15, 1895, North Madison, Jefferson County, Ind. Farmer.
Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army June 22, 1916, Indianapolis,
Ind. Sent to Columbus Barracks, Ohio; assigned to Troop B,
4th Cavalry. Transferred to Schofield Barracks, Honolulu;
then back to Fort Clark, Tex. Served on the Mexican Border.
Later transferred to Battery B, 50th Field Artillery, Camp
Bowie, Tex., where he died of influenza November 1, 1918.
Buried near West Fork, Bryantsburg, Jefferson County, Ind.
