BLANSETT, WILLIAM JOHNSON - - - Corporal
Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Blansett; born in 1894 (exact
date not known), Jasper, Tenn. Employed in Kokomo, Ind.
at time of enlistment in U.S. Regular Army, early in the year,
1917. Sent to Ft. Thomas, Ky.; assigned to aviation branch of
service, and sent to Kelly Field, Tex. Transferred to Wilbur
Wright Field, Ohio. Later took a special course in gunnery.
Died of influenza October 6, 1918, Dayton, Ohio. Buried in
Jasper, Tenn.
