Hunter, William Ralph

HUNTER, WILLIAM RALPH .... Private

Son of Willis R. and Suda Hunter; born March 20, 1896,
Eddyville, Dawson County, Neb. Moved to Connersville,
Ind. in 1915. Furniture worker. Enlisted in Company B,
4th Infantry, Indiana National Guard, June 23, 1917. Sent
to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to Company A, 139th Machine
Gun Battalion; then to Company D, 148th Machine Gun Bat-
talion. Overseas in June, 1918, and died from wounds Novem-
ber 2, 1918, in France. Body to be returned to U.S., and buried
in Connersville Cemetery, Connersville, Ind.
