CRABTREE, CLARENCE DON - Private

Son of Lowell B. and Emma Crabtree; born June 3, 1896,
Indianapolis, Ind. Rancher. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army
February, 1916, Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served on Mexican
Border. Transferred to Ft. Jay, N. Y. Embarked September
1, 1917; assigned to Company M, 16th Infantry, 1st Division.
Died of wounds July 14, 1918, received in action near Cantigny.
Buried in American Cemetery, Chateaurou-Indre, France.
Awarded Croix de Guerre with palms, (posthumously).
