Ashdown, George
GEORGE ASHDOWN
George Ashdown, well known in this city, died at Fitch's Home for Soldiers Wednesday morning of rheumatoid of the heart. He was member of Company A, Twenty-seventh C. V., and much beloved by all his comrades. He was a brave soldier, never shrinking from duty. He was a quiet, unassuming man, and had made many new friends since he went to the Soldiers' Home, which was two years ago. He will be greatly missed by his comrades there.
